Opening: Meet Edoardo Piermattei

When can something ephemeral become eternal? In its eternal aspiration to defy time, the work of creatives, designers and artists has always been measured by the fragility of the ephemeral. What, then, is the secret that allows what by its nature fades, like an idea, to be transformed into something immortal? This is the question that guides the dialogue between Barbieri Magalini, creative duo and founders of MM Company, and artist Edoardo Piermattei, who celebrates the Opening of SPAZIO MM with a work made of sugar, the emblem par excellence of the ephemeral. The answer seems to emerge from a simple but powerful intuition: replicability. A cake becomes the symbol of this idea, standing as a metaphor for design. For it is precisely in the possibility of repetition, be it a design or a recipe, that the ephemeral finds its antidote and becomes immortal.
