On the occasion of the opening of the ADI Design Museum – Compasso d’Oro, which houses the section dedicated to the Compasso d’Oro alla Carriera, ADI – Association for Industrial Design – invited a selected group of art-directors and creatives to imagine a single poster-tribute to each of the great Masters awarded the Compasso d’Oro alla Carriera prize. Prof. Luca Molinari, curator of the project, involved the creative consultancy agency MM Company, working with the Master of Italian Design Walter De Silva, Compasso d’Oro alla Carriera in 2011.
The artwork created by MM Company, entitled ‘Movimento Manifesto’, is on display in the permanent exhibition of the ADI Design Museum – Compasso d’Oro, and included in a specific publication. MM Company is honoured to contribute to the ADI project, which represents a historic moment for Italian design culture. “When we approached the project, we set ourselves four objectives: first of all, we wanted it to be an aesthetically beautiful manifesto, capable of going beyond the museum purpose; conceptually concise, like De Silva’s design style; expressively eclectic, like the variety of product fields explored by the Maestro; and finally, capable of telling a story, that of his career”.
